Community Heart (London) was set up to reach out to all people, especially young people mainly from disadvantaged backgrounds, to help and support them to realise their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. The charity aims to accomplish this through different Sports and Education projects, a youth club and community outreach teams. The charity’s current projects include,
• Edmonton Eagles Amateur Boxing Club
• Running with the Vision –Youth Football
• Youth Zone Youth Club
These three projects alone currently engage over 300 young people per week building good friendships through committed and caring mentors who help develop and enhance these young people’s lives.
All these projects have an ethos and vision to positively affect lives by teaching values, respect, building confidence and encouraging and rewarding those who demonstrate good character and set an example to others. This positive influence is going beyond the individuals that attend and affecting their families, schools and communities.
The projects are open to all youth, regardless of income, religion or ethnic background and their work, role and effect in the community is acknowledged and supported by the Metropolitan Police, The Football Foundation, Kick It Out, The Jack Petchey Foundation, the Local Council, Local MP’s and other local community groups.
